Installation Notes :

1) Install 1.bt.sisx. Run it. It should say "Device added"
At this point you can also uninstall it - it is no longer needed.

2) Install 2.GPSd.jar. Run this prior to starting TomTom

3) Install 3.tomtom.sisx

4) Copy the TomTom folder from the 0.Copy.To.MEMCARD.Root.rar to the root of your memory card.

5) Run TomTom. Choose Yes when it asks you to switch on bluetooth.
Go to Change preferences, Show GPS status, Configure, Other Bluetooth GPS receiver, and select the BiNPDA GPS.

* You need to change the preferences every time you start tomtom. It won't
remember that you were using the internal GPS*

* If you need to switch from internal, to an "external" receiver, you may need
to click on "tomtom receiver", and then "other receiver" to get the list of devices again.

I understand people will be sceptical of this as it was though impossible for so long, feel free to virus scan etc.
This file is available on many sites such as the link below, however always on annoying Rapidshare links that many have problems with.

Hi all
I cannot get this to work on my n95
It keeps saying certification error
Any ideas please
TomTom wont boot. It keeps the globe spinning?
Put the CONTENTS of the map in the ROOT of the memory card!!! that way the world is not spinning (for ever)
Couldn't get it to work. I get the message waiting for a valid gps signal.
100% working, instuctions are not the best. once you have installed the sisx files, run the gpsd from the apps menu. select yes to the questions, then select hide. now run tomtom go to gps menu select other bt gps and then select the binpda option. thats it shold now work on internal gps. (i also set binpda gps to authorised in the phones bluetooth options) hope this helps. thanks binpda...... giggs
didn't work, did the same as you have done. Plus uninstalled, updated the firmware and reinstalled. Same problem. Works with external BT reciever but not the internal.
looks like a problem with internal gps, it doesnt show any satelite or gps position, so dont think there is a problem with the software.
on the phone goto settings/general/positioning/positioning server make sure you have the correct access point.
you can test if you have the correct settings by going to tools/connectivity/gps data/position and leave it by the window. it should take no more then 1 min. if it does try changing the postioning server
it installs fine with my n95 8gb, but yet to connect with the internal gps. Just wondering if anyone could tell me the ideal access point to use from settings/general/positioning/positioning server with regards to mrgiggs advice
will it work on 6110?
(positioning server) the positiong server should normally be your network provider ( tmobile, vodaphone 3 etc) if there is more then 1 try anything that has your network providers name in it. (server address) make sure it is "supl.nokia.com" without the quotes. if this helps please leave a reply so that other people can get their tomtom up and running. p.s. the tomtom folder which comes with this file does not contain ( the zip folder) so if you like to use 7 digit post codes you need to dowload them from somewhere else and add the folder to the route of the memory card
So far so good the installation still seems promising as it went fine, the access point was set.
I use orangeUK and I have the following options
in the access point:
orange GPRS WAP
orange internet
orange java
orange mms
orange update

I chose the gprs wap option. Following giggs testing instruction, it woked fine and showed me my position. The only cross point I am still yet to solve is that whenever I try to use the tom tom to navigate , it tells me this 'waiting for a valid gps signal' .
The slider is open,GPSD is pre-runned but I still dont know the way out. I am sure that with the level I am , it will work with external gps receiver but i need the internal one too to work
check your positioning methods settings/general/positioning/positiong methods... assisted gps, intergrated gps, network based should all be ticked. if you leave you phone by the window (better still if outside) for a 1 min it should get a fix. if the network settings are wrong it will take around 5-8 mins. give it 10 to get a fix. once you get a fix exit tomtom and try, again if it still takes ages try changing from orange gprs
Works a treat on my N82. It gets a satellite lock in seconds and has no problems navigating. Great stuff. Thanks
works on my N95 8GB, thanks
I've installed on my N95 8GB. I run TomTom and I automatically put me through a series of preference questions... I am now at the "Select a map" option. It say No maps founds, and I cannot continue further. Please help.
there is no map included, there are loads of other torrents on here where you can get a map. this is a fix so you can use the internal gps with tomtom.
it now works like charm, the problem i had was that I have ticked Bluetooth GPS in GPS data settings, for anyone who still seems confused as I was go to Menu-->Tools-->Connectivity-->GPS Data-->Options-->Positioning Settings--> and UNTICK bluetooth GPS AND Network GPS, keep Internal GPS and Assisted GPS TICKED.
The only thing I have noticed now is that certain post codes are missing and some mismatch of address seems to occur. Anyone experiencing these? or know a way out?=== PLS NOE THAT MY ADVICE IS FOR N95 8GB
Anyone getting a "invalid certificate" error, just set the date to 2007 and install then set year back to 2008. Worked for me.
fixed it all. And it now works fine. I just updated the postcodes and the maps and BOOOOOOM.
On a lighter note, if my dispay is set to automatic,I realised that the screen goes blank when i tend to use tomtom on N95 8gb in the landscape mode. Anyone aware of these or has a fix? As concerning invalid certificate, first and foremost , go to your menu- application manager-download apps-options-settings
set software installation to 'ALL'.
Online certificate check 'OFF'. i did this and still left my date as normal 2008 during installation and it went well.
where can I download postcodes please?

thanks
I would also please like to know exactly what type of maps this software could use.. would it be one of these?

or
http://thepiratebay.ee/tor/3974063/TomTom_Map_Scandinavia_v.710.1561.zip
Download it from this link below.
1.unzip
2.run the .exe to a known path on your pc
3.copy the resultant 'zip' folder into the root of your phone memory
4.Then run tt on your phone, it should automatically discover it'

hey everyone..i just got the n95 8gb. so when i use the internal gps would I be charged in any way from my network. They seem to be clueless. I know if i use the A-GPS i would be charged. BUt if i use this tomtom would I be charged?
If it keeps saying certification error, set the date 1 year back (fx. 29-05-2007) then do the installation again.
Ok, I am really having difficulties... this is what I did (N95-8GB):

1) Install 1.bt.sisx
2) Install 2.GPSd.jar
3) Install 3.tomtom.sisx
4) Copy TomTom folder to memory card root
5) Run GPSd
5) Run TomTom

The globe still spinning... nothing happen. I have download a USA_Canada Map and copy the folder to the root of my memory card.

HELP, thanks
Do i have to install "3.tomtom.sisx" when i allready have TomTom with maps installed?
I do copied the contents of tomtom folder, to the pre-installed tomtom folder.
The reason why i ask, is that i couldn't install tomtom.sisx. because a error message.
change date fore error msg and reboot phone for spining globe, prob too many apps running
No problem with spinning globe. TomTom starting as normal, internal GPS working, but no connection with TomTom.
But can't install 3.tomtom.sisx, the message is update-problem?
But still, i have allready TomTom software preinstalled, so do i have to install "3.tomtom.sisx" ? Is this the TomTom software, or a fix?

the included tomtom.sisx is the tomtom software. i know its cracked version but unsure if this version is needed for internal GPS
thnx works like a charm. had a lot of trouble installing this from different cources. changed from tomtom 6.1 to 6.2 and it stil didnt work. Then i uninstalled everything
Then i copied the content of the tomtom folder to the root memorycard in the stil existing tomtom folder. This is done with mass storage (youre usb modus) not pcsuite. I installed bt, GPSdn and tomtom.sisx (to the phone, my maps are on the memcard). Then run bt and exit. run GPSd and hide. After starting tomtom chouse to start bleuthoot. Then you have to select an external gps and it finds the BiNPDA GPS.
And guess what it works perfect after 10 previous attempts. Maybe this software is better or the installing of al 3 to the phone instead of the memorycard made the difference.

Good luck to all!!
Hi,

I have followed all the instruction, I have nokia n95 GB black.

when i run the tom tom software, it comes with some general configurations, when it starts looking for map' it says 'no maps found' I cannot go beyond this?

Please help.

Samuk789@hotmail.co.uk
Thank You! Works perfect on my N95!
Thanks again!
thanks a lot mate works perfectly...

awesome... you are a legend my friend a fuckin legend!!!
The N95 8GB doesn't have a memory card. Do I just install it to the root of the phone memory?
Finally! Been waiting sooooo long for this. Thanks for uploading and thanks to those who cracked it. I bought this version of tomtom ages ago and have been waiting for a patch from Tomtom to get it to work on my N95. Now there is no need for me to spend yet more money on tomtom7 when it comes out. So screw you TomTom, haha
I have followed all the instructions as they are on here but cannot get beyond the part where it says no maps found. Can anyone help me please?? I desperately need this software for work but am not willing to fork out loads of money for it from nokia! Someone please help me!!!

Stokes9436@aol.com

Thanks in advance!
Thanks! Works perfect on my N95 8Gb!

great software, but works more slowly than "real" tom tom navigator...
Great torrent, works a treat for thos of you who can't get passed "no maps found" download the Map you need and copy it to the root of your memory card.
First it worked fine when I tested it by car, but then next time I go to change the gps to the binpda gps and then the program shuts down.

whats wrong with it??
seed please!
Software 6.020(8300) works fine, but seems that the BiNDPA´s bluethooth software does not work...
It appears "grey" as it´s not switced ON.

Anyone got it work properly? Any advises?
It works! Here´s what I did(N95):
- I turned OFF (from N95´s GPS tools) everything but the internal GPS.
-Opened GPSd and let it use all coonections that it asked.(I checked from connection that GPSd did/does not connect to net. It could use that "connection" between sofwares - dont know for sure. But sure is that it´s not connected to the net...)
-Waited minute or to that it(GPSd) found satelites (In N95 it really takes time sometimes, even if you use nokia map-software ect.)
-then I opened TomTom and went to GPS tools and picked PiNPDA GPS(even that it shows grey-offline it works).

And if some one is afraid that GPSd uses net hidden: take SIM-card out; then your phone is for sure offline from all operators. And the thing still works... (but if you dont accept GPSd to use connection it´ll not work...seems that that connection is virtual (or whtever).

If you want to speed up the GPSd´s connection to satelites -> open phone GPS; it locatates satelites and very after that GPSd found them too.
...and then open TomTom and chooce other GPS receiver...
Hi guys.
Need sum help with this.
I've instaleed step 1, 2 and 3, copied the TomTom folder to the flash memory but wen I open TomTom it says 'No maps found!'
Then jst shuts down!!
Any help wud b gr8
jbarrickuk@hotmail.com
Cheers, Joe
it works! on my NOKIA E90

thanks for the upload
just too confirm, this is just the application (no map) for tomtom to work with the internal gps of your phone.you can download loads of maps on here. do a search for your area i.e. G.B. etc. the n95 8gb has internal memory so instal to that
k so im still really confused about this thing...i installed bt, gpsd, and tomtom fine but i can never get a signal when i try and use the gpsd..i did what some people said and put on only the A-gps and intergrated gps nothing then i tried turing on the bluetooth gps and i would recognize binpda but i still would not get a reading. im right by my window so that shouldnt be a problem. i uninstalled and reinstalled everything. i switched my acess point to RogersInternet..nothing and i also tried GoRogers..because this is my phone company. the only thing i can think of is maybe because there is a lock beside each of those options. if that is the problem it would be much appricated if someone could help me get rid of that. and just two things im curious about i cant seem to find any canada maps and someone said that if the A-GPS is on then im going to get billed for it
I can't install 3.tomtom.sisx
I have an update problem. How can i fix this?
works great on my e90! do thanks! to use internal gps device, bt.sisx must be installed also. otherwise the binpda gps will not be visable. before starting tomtom, disable bt gps & network gps choice under positioning devices. start gpsd, hide it. start tomtom & choose binpda gps.
Works great on my N95 8GB!!!!
Very nice to finally be able to use tomtom.

I havent read all comments, but this may help those that have problems:
Do not forget to run Gpsd before you start tomtom, and you must have bluetooth on!

Thanks for the best upload this year!!!!!
Hej...I have done everything you guys said and I have the map too but when I tried to do the last part which is "5) Run TomTom. Choose Yes when it asks you to switch on bluetooth.
Go to Change preferences, Show GPS status, Configure, Other Bluetooth GPS receiver, and select the BiNPDA GPS.
" my phone cant find BiNPDAGPS. It finds other bluetooth devices such as my computer and my friend phone but not the one I want... Can anyone tell me how I can solv the problem please! Thank you in advance
Strange.
I installed everything as (ultimately worked out!) on my N95-8gb.

Everything worked like a dream, GPSd took a few moments then locked on the signal, opened TomTom, changed the GPS status to Other, then BinPDA etc.. worked great..

then.. I went away for a few days, used the phone a lot and the battery ultimately died.. however upon recharging and switching it back on.. my phone now does not receive GPS signal at all, from any application, no matter how long I wait for it. I uninstalled the all TomTom and related files (GPSd, bt, tomtom.sx) and reinstalled.. same problem.. No GPS..
Anyone had the same problem after phone off/on again? Any solutions? (aah, it was working so well for a bit..)
Okay, re-previous post..

GPS IS working... just takes f..ing ages.. (like 20mins..?!?) ach well..

Still.. FANTASTIC!!! f.ing legend! (as another poster said..)
Be aware, the bt.sisx program unfortunatly does not work for the N78. Phone hangs when trying to install, probably due different O.S. version.
can someone please explain how to get started on this, is there someone who has been running it on the phone N95 ther older version ....

Plz share and tell

thanks
for you, whose tomtom is hanging in contacting to GPS- state....
- uninstall older version of tomtom from your phone
- remove all tomtom files from your memory card
- then follow the installation notes

i installed the apps in the mem card. works great in e90, ver 07.40.1.2

thanks for an xcellent app!

This worked on my Nokia N95, but after a while, when I tried TomTom, Garmin or Nokia Maps, they couldn't find gps signal :S
It looks the same problem like Jamstar had, but it didn't find gps signal even after 1 hour...I was on a trip, so it was running while I was driving, and no success...did somebody experience the same? Jamstar said it worked after 20 mins...any other tips? Thanks for help!
Just want to warn people. This application is crap, it may work teoreticly but it will never find you signal (waiting an hour on open sky is little bit too much). I know tomtom is best and simplest to use but until these cock.uckers release version that recognize internal GPS, stay away from these ´great´ but not tested tricks.
i instaled all thet was needed. only 1 prob left... i run prog but i need maps thet i dont have. can any1 share a tip where 2 get them 4 free =) nokia N95
I have been using this app for months with no problems at all on an N95 8GB. Anyone who says it doesn't work is talking crap.
Muzzy25, go to applications, app manager, options, settings and then set software installation to 'All'

Anyone got this to work on the N96?
I got a nokia E51 is this working on it?
I installed it. but he said that there are no maps??? can someone help me?
This is great works like a charm got full internal n95 signal from in the house Thanx alot m8 :)
brilliant m8 works freat on n95 with new firmware 30 no probsive even installed celeb voices lol thanx :) :)
when im trying to install 3.tomtom.sisx it starts to install but then it says cannot install, so whats the problem?
I have tryet it on nokia 6110navi and it works fine. now i have bought a nokia 6210navi and the only thing there dosen't work is the bt.sisx file it can install but not run, to make this vertiual image of a bluetooth device.
What I will ask of is if there is anyone there knew another file there does the same ore there is someone there could make a update ore never version of the file so it could work on the new nokia phones too ??
Need US/Canada maps. Plz!
Looked for em everywhere.
Hey there it works up untill the point were u have to select your prefs! when it gets to select map it says no maps!!!!!! anyone have a clue??

other then that it is all good :)
very quick to!
Works get on my Nokia N95 the only problem that I had was that I didn't realize I had to go into applications and activate the "bt" icon and then follow the rest of the steps. Otherwise my phone was unable to find the bluetooth device. Also needed to move the map folder onto the root of memory stick and then it worked!
Download the TomTom 6 with US & canada maps torrent (it's the one that is about 1 gig in size). U just need to unpack the US & Canada folder from the ISO using a application like Power ISO. Move that folder onto your memory stick and your in business. Hope that helps anyone that was having trouble like me.
I'v seen many questions about "no maps" -issue. I have that same proble. When I start my tomtom application it says "no maps". I know that here is no maps, and I have downloaded my own ones. So, that tomtom application and gps seems to work fine. But how to install those maps? or where to put those files? I have Nokia E51 and 4GB memory card.

I downloaded next maps: http://thepiratebay.ee/torrent/4479104/TOMTOM__MAPS__Western__and__Central__Europe__810.1907
So do I have to buy anything? or can I just install this to my phone and it works.
Does your phone need tps built into it for this to work
THX for a great software
Have installed it on a Nokia N95 8gig,it starts but it just connecting to the GPSunit and nothing else happens
What have i done wrong?
Got it to work just fine now.
Installed the software on the "PHONEMEMORY" and the maps on the Memorycard

THX ALOT
can someone please help me and put me out of my misery. i have carried out the install and have the gspd showing the sat data but no way can i get it to connect to the tomtom app. i have tried disconnecting b/tooth and every other combination i can think of but still can not get tomtom to connect to internal gps. does anyone have any idea what could be wrong please, i have spent so much time on this and would like to get it working, thanks to anyone who can help
Hey,
any one can help that, I have N95 with 1GB memory card, I have installed this software, when i start application, tomtom logo appear and the globe just rotate then nothing happen..
any idea, where i am wrong?

thx ..
Thank you so much for this! omg, you just saved me buying external gps reciever from eBay for $60. This one is so WORKING perfectly on my N95 8GB. I love you!!!! Keep up your good work!!!, every drop a your sweats are all very appreciated!!!
All those who cant get it to work. First of all you need to folow the instruction for installation above. And 1 thing you dont get is that you have to download a map of your choice which you will have to search it for your self, the program wont work without a map. I believed somebody has mentioned it already. thanks for the app again.
I m using n95 8gb. I have done everything correctly. my gpsd got signal but tom tom inst getting any signal after selecting binpda gps. any solution please
Works on my N95 but doesn't work with N96. GPSD is the only program that runs on it, bt and tomtom load a few seconds but after that nothing happens.

I have the Nokia Maps application in my phone but it sucks big time, don't go wasting your money on that.
Has anyone tried this on the Nokie E71. The free licence has expired and I woul rather use tom tom than renew and pay a feeeeeeeeeeee. Thank you
hi guys,
just installed on n95 8gb works fine....

But ......

How can you change or manage maps ?

I have copied the UK and Ireland maps it is fine , when I copy the W Europe maps totm tom do not find it, i have even tried to copy the map contents in the root directory...still no joy.

Would any one help how can we use different maps and if they will be switchable within the tom tom it self.

awaiting reply thanks
1. Copy the files to the Mass Memory of the phone
2. Install the 3 Nokia installation files to the phone memory
3. Then copy the TomTom folder to the ROOT FOLDER of the Mass Memory
4. Add the UK and Ireland Maps to the Root Folder of Mass Memory
5. Then start the BT file through Applications (Should say device added)
6. Then go to Settings, In positioning Methods, keep ONLY integrated GPS Ticked and remove the rest of the ticks
7. Then go back to Applications and start the GPSd and click YES to everything is says! And select the BiNPDA GPS if the Bluetooth devices list pops up
8. Then DO NOT EXIT IT, just HIDE it!
9. Then start TomTom application and make sure to select the BiNPDA GPS from the OTHER BLUETOOTH GPS List.
10. STAND OUTSIDE or VERY CLOSE to your window and it will get a signal within 5 minutes.
11. YOU ARE READY TO TRAVEL!

It is better using EXTERNAL GPS devise as Nokia?s internal GPS is really crap and very slow to capture on satellite signals.
Well, thanks for the instructions, SPK3108! ;)
However, my N85 doesn't say anything about a 'device added' when running bt.
GPSd looks like it runs OK, but not too sure?
And the TomTom app. just sits there...won't load/run/start.
Any suggestions appreciated. :(
Sorry - forget above... got Garmin XT 5.00.30 to run smooth!
No other software needed, too!

Nice.
Does NOT work with my Nokia 6210 navigator, when running BT there's no such message like 'Device added'. So there is no BINPDA GPS option in tomtom. I think it would work with external gps, but i'd like to use internal, cos i have it.
Awesome job, this rocks on my N82 no sattelite problems either i hook up to at least 6 within 20 seconds. Its a bit of a hassle to figure out how to crack / install newer maps but my location is pretty up to date so i've no need to learn it right now.
cant get this to work on my E75, tomtom refuses to open, i press open for tomtom and nothing shows up (not even the spinning globe that other people have mentioned), very frustrating, followed every step in the instructions.
where to find maps for it (i have nokia n95 8gb), i have installed it all good, i open it to cofigured (language, time, voice), but now am at select a map (and says no map found)...
someone give a link pls (where to find maps for this...)
My phone won't let me run TomTom =S Just looks like it's loading then stops and does nothing. No globe thing.
The same!!! :(
How the fuck I install maps for this shit? I have been trying to install these freaking maps for 3 hours now to my N73. I have read every comment in every fucking release. Nothing works.
downloaded & installed 3 phone items. put map on mem card. when i start tomtom nothing happens. i use a nokia E 90 and i read that it worked well. please help....
Well theres something wrong with my installation allso , when i turn on GPSd it shows all 0´s (latitude longitude etc) as i understand it means it doesnt work , in every 1 min it asks which device to use "More devicec" or "BiNPDA GPS" when i press eitherone it will do the same thing again in 1 min or so. I followed all the steps as told. I moved the 1.bt.sisx with pcsuite to mass memory then moved the GPSd.jar to mass mem and then the tomtom , then copied the tomtom folder to mass mem , then installed bt , then gpsd and then started the tomtom. it only spins the globe and does nothing , exept asking again about the devices or the binpda gps. Can any1 say when or where i went wrong or wtf is the problem about ? Im downloading the maps as i write but i dont think thats the problem ? Cause the GPSd should work anyhow ? Please guys have some patience 4 me and explain it ? :)
Just tried again and got it to work , out of nowhere , didnt do nothing :) But now i need maps ! :D
